Tour Itinerary

On early morning arrival at Dehradun Airport, you will be received and commuted to the “Queen of Hills”, Mussoorie (Approx. 2 hours) overlooking the Doon Valley.

Located on a 15 km long horseshoe ridge with the grand Himalayas as a backdrop, the colonial hill resort of Mussoorie spreads across at a height of 2,005.5 m above sea level. From this vantage point, Mussoorie offers superb scenic view of peaks of the Himalayas in western Garhwal.

Day free to explore the Mall Road and Camel’s Back Road – by walk. Overnight stay at Mussoorie.

Today, we shall go for a local sightseeing tour of Mussoorie wherein we shall visit the Kempty Falls, Jwaladevi Temple, Lal Tibba, Company Garden, Gun Hill and Mussoorie Christ Church. Overnight in Mussoorie.

Early morning, we shall leave Mussoorie and drive to Chopta (Approx. 208 Kms / 8 Hrs).

Enroute, we shall go via Dhanualti, Chamba and New Tehri Dam. The Tehri Dam is Reaching a staggering height of 260.5 meters (855 feet), the imposing Tehri Dam is the Tallest dam in India and one of the Tallest dams in the world. 

Overnight stay at Chopta.

After an early breakfast, we shall trek to Tungnath with packed lunch. Tungnath(literal meaning: Lord of the Peaks) is situated at the height of 3680 mts above the sea level. The trek is 3 kms upward and en route you will find lush green meadows. You can witness a wide range of snow capped Himalayas. Upon arriving, we shall pay a visit to Tungnath Temple. Tungnath temple, at an altitude of 3680 Mtrs, is considered to be one of the Highest temples of Lord Shiva in the world and is one of the Panch (Five) Kedars. The temple is believed to be 1000 years old. Temple is closed during Nov to April in winters.

After resting for a while, you can head out for Chandrashila peak, which is a kilometer away from Tungnath. Later trek back to Chopta for dinner and overnight stay. Overnight stay at Chopta.

After breakfast, we shall leave Chopta and drive towards Joshimath/Auli via Chamoli (Approx.150 Kms/5 Hours). In winters, one has to take the Cable car to reach Auli from Joshimath. Overnight stay at Auli.

 

Day free to explore Auli.

The Auli Artificial Lake is one of the highest man-made lakes in the world. One can trek to Gurson Bugyal, a picturesque location from where you get to enjoy magnificent views of Trishul Peak, Dron Parvat and Nanda Devi adding on to its beauty is the green surrounding that makes it look more enthralling. Within close vicinity of around 3 kms, lies Chattrakund, a pristine lake that is known for its crystal clear blue waters. It is also an ideal picnic spot for those who love nature and its silence. 

In winters, one can enjoy snow activities here. The ski slopes offer a panoramic view of high Himalayan peaks including Nanda Devi, 7818 m. A 500 m long ski-lift and an 800 m long chair-lift connect the upper and lower snow slopes of Auli.

 Overnight stay at Auli.

Early morning, we shall leave Auli/Joshimath and drive to Rishikesh (Approx 250 Kms/ 9 Hours) via Nandprayag, Chamoli, Karna Prayag, Rudraprayag and Devprayag. Overnight stay at Rishikesh.

After breakfast, on time departure to Dehradun Airport (Approx. 1 hour) for your onward journey with memories of a Lifetime!
