Tour Itinerary

On arrival at Jodhpur airport /railway station, you will be received by our representative and commuted to your Homestay at Salawas village (Weavers village). One can interact with the local family; get a glimpse of the local culture and their age old durrie (rug) weaving tradition. Overnight Homestay in Jodhpur.

After breakfast, we shall go for a full day village tour wherein we shall visit Singhasni(Potter’s village) and the Shepherds Village (where you can visit to families of shepherds people) nearby.

We shall also visit the Bishnoi village, home to the famous Bishnoi community. The Bishnoi community are said to be the World’s First and Fiercest Environmentalists who consider trees and animals as sacred. History has seen members of this community getting martyred saving trees from being cut by erstwhile rulers of Rajasthan.  It is because of their protection that in Bishnoi-dominated areas, deer and antelope (such as blue bulls, black bucks, chinkaras and chowsinghas) are seen grazing in their fields.  We shall also visit Bishnoi temple commemorating the Khejarli Massacre, where 363 Bishnois sacrificed their lives in 1730 AD while protecting green Khajri trees considered sacred by the community, by hugging to them. After breakfast, we shall drive to Desert village of Khuri in the enchanting ‘Golden city’ of Jaisalmer.  The desert city is straight out of an Arabian nights fable complete with sand dunes, fort city and old world charm. We shall be checked into our Homestay with a local family in the village. Overnight Homestay in Khuri village.

Day free to explore the village. One can try their hands at Pottery and Handicraft making here. In the evening, we shall go for a Camel Safari to Khuri Sand dunes to watch the beautiful sunset. We shall camp in the desert for overnight dinner. Overnight stay under the stars in the sky in the Khuri Desert.

After breakfast at hotel, drive to the city of Bikaner and check in to your Guesthouse. Enroute, we shall visit the popular Karni Mata Temple, also known as the Rat Temple. Later, we visit the Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace, Museum and the Camel breeding farm. Overnight stay at Guesthouse in Bikaner.

After breakfast, we drive to the town of Nawalgarh in the Shekhawati region. The towns here have been referred to as the “open art gallery” of Rajasthan because the entire region is dotted with fascinating mansions (havelis) that have lavishly painted walls. Here, you will be checked into eco-friendly traditional huts in rural fields. You can enjoy homecooked meals prepared from the Organic kitchen farm and dairy farm here. If interested, one can undertake cooking lessons in the Traditional Rajasthan cuisine here. Overnight Homestay in Nawalgarh.

After breakfast, we shall visit the beautiful painted havelis of Dundlod town and surrounding areas of Mandawa and Nawalgarh. Evening free at leisure.  Overnight Homestay in Nawalgarh.
