Tour Itinerary

On arrival at Chandigarh Airport, you will be received by our representative and commuted to your Hotel in Shimla (Approx. 3- 4 hours) for rest and refreshment.  Evening free to explore Mall Road and The Ridge. Overnight stay at Shimla.

After breakfast, we shall begin our journey to the small town of Sarahan (approx. 180 kms/ 6-7 hours), known as the Gateway to Kinnaur. Enroute, if interested, we shall visit the Sun Temple at Nirath and the bustling town of Rampur, situated on the banks of the Sutlej river. You shall be checked into your accommodation on arrival. Evening, we shall visit the renowned Shri Bhimakali Temple which is said to be one of the 51 Shakti Peeths of Hindu religion and is also an architectural wonder. Overnight stay at Sarahan.

After breakfast, we shall drive to Sangla (approx. 3-4 hrs) in Kinnaur. Sangla, situated at a height of 2,700 meters, is a small picturesque village with the Baspa river flowing alongside. Baspa valley or popularly known as Sangla Valley is widely acknowledged as one of the “most beautiful valleys in the Himalayas”. Overnight stay in Deluxe Camps at Sangla.

After breakfast, we shall go for a sightseeing excursion to the beautiful villages of Rakcham and Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border.  The drive to Chitkul is extremely scenic amidst snow -clad mountains, apple orchids and wooden houses. One can witness the unique architecture, local lifestyle and also visit the beautiful 500 years old Goddess Chitkul Mathi temple here.

If interested, you can also trek for approximate 3 Kms from Chitkul to Nagasthi, the last border outpost in the Indo Tibetan Border. Later, we shall drive back to Sangla. Overnight stay in Deluxe Camps at Sangla.

Today, we shall visit Kamru village and climb up to the magnificent five-storied high Kamru Fort. The main holy deity of the Kamru Fort is Kamakhyi Devi, whose idol had been brought from far away Guwahati, in Assam.

Evening free at leisure. If interested, one can enjoy adventure activities like river crossing, rock climbing and rappelling etc near the banks of Baspa river. Overnight stay in Deluxe Camps at Sangla.

After breakfast, we shall drive to the beautiful town of Kalpa (approx. 51 kms/ 2-3 hours) via Rekong Peo, the district headquarters. One can enjoy spectacular views of the sacred Kinner Kailash Peak, one of the most beautiful peaks in the Himalayas on the way.  Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Kalpa.

After breakfast, we shall visit Rekong Peo market, Kothi temple, Suicide point, Chinni Bazaar and Kalpa Monastery.  Overnight stay at Kalpa.

After breakfast, we make an early morning start and drive along the Hindustan Tibet road towards Narkanda (approx. 213 kms/ 8 hrs). Overnight stay at Narkanda.

After breakfast, we shall go for an excursion to Hatu Peak (3400m/ 11152 ft). The road to Hatu Peak is surrounded by pine and spruce trees. The peak offers spectacular view of the entire Himalayan range. We shall visit the ancient Hatu Mata Temple. Later, we shall drive back to our Hotel. Evening free at leisure.  Overnight stay at Narkanda.

After breakfast, we shall drive to Chandigarh Airport (Approx. 6 hours) for our onward journey with memories of a Lifetime!
