Overnight stay at Shillong.
Today, we shall visit Mawphlang Sacred Forest, one of the biggest Sacred forest groves of Meghalaya. The word maw means “stone”, maw phlang means “grassy stone,” and is one of many settlements in the Khasi hills named after monoliths. Visitors are not allowed to take anything away from this hallowed forest, not even a pebble or a twig. One can also visit the Khasi Heritage Village near the forest.
Later, we shall drive back to Shillong. Enrote, we shall visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls. Shillong Peak (1962 m) is the Highest point of Shillong and offers panoramic views of the city, the waterfalls, the Himalayas, the lush green surroundings as well as the Bangladesh plains. Evening free to stroll the markets of Police Bazaar.
Overnight at Shillong.
After early breakfast, we shall drive to Cherrapunjee also known as Sohra (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. We shall stop by at Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint which is a wonderful vantage point located on Shillong – Cherrapunjee road.

Today, we shall go for a full day sightseeing wherein we shall visit the beautiful Krang Suri Waterfalls, Nartiang Monoliths in the Jaintia Hills and Laitlium Canyons in the East Khasi Hills before driving back to Shillong.
Nestled in the serenity of Jaintia hills, Krang Suri falls is amongst one of the most scenic waterfalls of Meghalaya. The falls is blessed with shimmering blue waters and lush green picturesque surrounding. One can even enjoy a dip here.
The Nartiang Monoliths is one of the most fascinating megalithic sites in India. Located in the Jaintia hills of Meghalaya, roughly 60 kms from the state capital of Shillong, Nartiang village – literally called as ‘Garden of monoliths’– has the largest concentration of monoliths at one place in the state. The cluster of stone monoliths is believed to have been erected to mark the reigns of the erstwhile Jaintia Kings.
One of the most amazing and picturesque tourist destinations, perched atop the East Khasi Hills of Shillong is Laitlum Canyons, which in literal sense means “The End of Hills” or “The End of The World. At Laitlum, all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley.
