Tour Itinerary

On arrival at Madurai Airport, you will be picked up by our representative and commuted to your Hotel where you will be checked into on arrival.

Later, we shall visit the famous  Thirumalai Nayak Palace and Gandhi Memorial Museum.  Overnight stay at Madurai

Today, we shall visit the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple located in the center of Madurai and at the banks of River Vaigai. The 2500 years old Architectural marvel is the most revered Heritage site and Spiritual retreat in Tamil Nadu. We shall also visit the Hall of Thousand Pillars (Ayiramkal Mandapam) and Puthu Mandapam.

This erstwhile part of the temple has become a famous place for shopping artifacts, handicrafts and fabrics. Overnight stay at Madurai.

After breakfast, we shall drive to Rameshwaram (Approx. 3 hours) via the stunning Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge. This road bridge is the only overland connection between Rameshwaram and the rest of the countryOne can see the spectacular Pamban Railway Bridge from here. Opened on 24 February 1914, it was India’s first sea bridge, and was the longest sea bridge in India until the opening of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in 2010. 

 Enroute, we shall visit Former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam House and Memorial.

Overnight stay at Rameshwaram.

Today, we shall visit the famous Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple which is not just popular among devotees but also among tourists because of its magnificent architecture. 

We shall visit Gandamadana Parvatham hillock atop which is the ancient Ramar Patham Temple (footprints of Lord Ram). This is the Highest viewing point of Rameshwaram and one can get to see breathtaking panaromic views of the entire Pamban island from here.

Later, we shall visit the abandoned beach town of Dhanushkodi located on the southern end of Rameshwaram. One can visit the Ruined Church of the old town here. Dhanushkodi is flanked by the Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal from two sides. The confluence of the waters of these oceans is a sight to watch. We shall visit the historic Kothandaramaswamy Temple. The temple is the only historical structure to survive the 1964 cyclone that washed away Dhanushkodi.

A submerged chain of limestone shoals, known as Ram Setu /Adam’s Bridge, extends all the way from the furthermost tip of Dhanushkodi to Talaimannar in Sri Lanka.  It is said that Lord Ram destroyed the bridge with the end of his bow, after victoriously returning to India to prevent anyone else from using it.  He also marked the spot where the bridge was to be built with an end of his bow. This gave rise to the town’s name, Dhanushkodi (meaning bow’s end).

Overnight stay at Rameshwaram.

After breakfast, we shall drive to Kanyakumari also known as Cape Comorin (Approx. 6 hours), located at the southernmost tip of our country. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kanyakumari.

After breakfast, we go for a sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari wherein we shall visit the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, located on one of two rocks located about 500 meters off mainland of Vavathurai, India’s southernmost tip. We shall visit the Temple Town of Suchindram, famous for its unique temple dedicated to Shiva,Vishnu and Brahma.The temple is noted for its huge Hanuman statue and Musical pillars. Evening, you can end the day by enjoying the beautiful sunset. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kanyakumari.

After breakfast, we shall drive to Thiruvananthapuram Airport (approx 30 – 40 mins) in Kerala for your onward journey with memories of a Lifetime!
